Firstly, I want to give a huge thank you to all of the faculty of the Adv & Marketing Program at St.Clair for going above and beyond during the entire duration of the program. I would not have had a lot of the opportunities that I have been able to have without you getting us into the HubSpot courses and additional digital pieces.
The foundational knowledge we learned initially (in the first and second year of the program) has proven to meet the requirements of many small to medium-sized business owners as well as the agencies that I have been able to communicate with or work for.
The knowledge gained during the 3rd year, in my experience, has put me well above the skill set desired by every SMB I have been able to work with. Additionally, every agency I have been in communication with, as well as the one I am currently working with have been pleasantly surprised when I explain to them the scope of digital & social knowledge I was able to gain throughout the program as well as with the additional resources such as the HubSpot courses.
Regarding HubSpot specifically, It has been a fantastic resource to further my knowledge on more in depth topics such as Growth-Driven Design or understanding how to more effectively use the HubSpot CRM. It has also been great to keep up to date and refreshed on the more important topics, especially when pivoting from one role to another or preparing for a specific interview, job opportunity etc.
Understanding how much we learned in the program is difficult to wrap your head around until we get out and start internships, start job hunting, freelance etc.
I would like to credit all of the digital and social knowledge we gained from the course as well as through HubSpot in providing us with truly national and global opportunities. I wasn’t fully aware of this until graduation when I noticed there were thousands of businesses looking for the information that we learned over our 3-year journey.
I’m happy to provide any more info on this and my experiences as they evolve. I am very happy to say I’m a graduate of this program and am very excited to see the next round of graduates in the field soon!
