The St. Clair Advertising program is so integrated in all aspects of advertising, from creative to, strategy, media planning, social, web, data and more. I am currently working in Data Science at Publicis Media, during my interviews I was asked to describe the program, I specifically remember explaining how each of my classes all tied together. For example, I told them that I learned to code and design a website in my web design class, then learned to take that website live and link it to Google analytics in my web analytics class. After that I learned how to get that website ranked higher in the Google search engine by implementing tactics, we learned during our search engine optimization class. This program prepares you by teaching you every aspect of the industry and how each department goes hand in hand with one another.

On top of the classes, the program gives you the opportunity to work with real clients. The professors of the program themselves started an agency to give students a chance to gain real world experience with real clients. Being able to have experience working with real clients gave me the upper hand and confidence during the interview process once I graduated, as well as gave me the opportunity to expand my resume that was almost blank before I started the program.

The professors of this program were very adamant on us receiving certifications before we graduated to give us further experience and knowledge once starting a career in the industry. Specifically, receiving my Hubspot certification has given me the opportunity to stand apart from my other candidates while interviewing. I was able to tell my interviewer that I understand how to navigate through an integrated platform that offers a wide range of tools to help create a successful marketing campaign. During a class project, I had the opportunity of using HubSpot to help when creating a social media marketing campaign. HubSpot was useful in tracking our lead generation and conversions and provided analytics across all the social media platforms.

Learning Hubspot has given me the opportunity to broaden my knowledge on inbound marketing and sales. The HubSpot Academy section was easy to navigate through and offered a wide variety of training videos to help better understand the features of the platform and how to apply the tools offered in industry.
