The rapid growth of the internet, social media and mobile devices has had an enormous impact on the ways that companies conduct their business. This course will focus on how digital media technology, online and social media have changed marketing and the importance of internet content in communicating with today’s consumers. We will examine and explore detailed strategies on how to embrace and develop content for evolving platforms such as search engines, newsletters, websites, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and mobile apps. We will explore the differences of each and the role content plays in the distribution and engagement of a target market segment. You learn how to integrate these digital tools and content tactics into goal-oriented campaigns that enhance brands, create a buzz, and motivate desired behaviors. This course will specifically focus on the vital role content plays in today’s digital industry. Students will gain firsthand knowledge and experience developing content and using these tools and concepts to their optimal advantage to maintain an edge in today’s economy.
